I have been getting quite a few questions about how and when pottery can be purchased and so I just wanted to go ahead and let you know about the schedule I have planned for that!
Everything that I have out of the kiln and photographed in time will be up for sale in my Etsy shop on November 19th!! So stay tuned and make sure to get there early. Most things at this point are one-of-a-kind and so when it’s gone it’s gone. I’ll be posting updates about the exact launch time on my pottery Instagram and Facebook page, so if you have one of those be sure to connect with me there!

Also, just a note, there is a big sale going on that week all around Etsy so make sure to use your promo codes for free shipping and % off! Even if you don’t purchase from my shop, do remember to support small businesses this holiday season! They might be a bit pricier, but you are helping a real person make a living, not a big box store take advantage of cheap, foreign labor. Plus, usually small batch items are higher quality and have a personal touch that you just won’t get from a factory.
In general life update news,
it has been a blast being back in a studio, back working with clay. It always amazes me how the time can fly when I am doing something I really enjoy, be it working in the pottery studio, sketching, painting with watercolors, or going on walks. I even spent an entire day photographing pots and editing photos, which can sometimes be quite tedious, but yesterday I spent almost 14 hours on it! I couldn’t believe how late it was when I finally looked at the clock.
I feel like my skills have improved, even in just these 8 weeks, and I have learned a couple new techniques which has been fun! One of these new thing I have been experimenting with is illustrating on my pots with underglaze… which is perfect as it brings together two of the things I love! I won’t have a ton of illustrated pots up for sale in this November shop update, but I hope that if I continue making pottery that I will get to continue to experiment with that!
Additionally, I have been working on a new children’s book about families that I am super pumped about! I have gained a lot of momentum with it recently and even went so far as to start setting up a new Kickstarter page for that! I made a mock-up of the book yesterday and realized I have about half of the illustrations finished already which is exciting. Though still LOTS to be done on that. That definitely won’t be launching until 2019, but as always, I’ll be sure to keep you posted.
